2026 Run for the Hs 5k - 7 a.m. on July 25, 2026
The Run for the Hs 5k is a youth-organized 5k event to benefit Shawnee County 4-H. The race is open to the public.

It is a flat and fast, out and back course that starts on the East side of the Stormont Vail Events Center (Right outside of the ticket exntrance). Runners will head South across the parking lot to the Shunga Trail. They will then head East on the Shunga Trail to the turnaround point and then return the same way they went out. The event will be timed by Red Dirt Racing.
The 4 Hs of 4-H are Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. In this event, you will be running for all of the Hs. You can learn more about how we are raising funds to support tomorrow's leaders here.
Register
Online Registration is done using Race Roster. Everyone who registers will receive a free ticket to the Shawnee County Fair Pancake Feed. Also, everyone who registers by July 20, will received a free race t-shirt.

6-6:40 am Race Day Packet Pick-up/Registration
7 am 5K Run/Walk Start
Awards will be handed out immediately after 5k
Awards will not be mailed. Results will be posted at www.runforthehs.com
Pancake breakfast inside the Stormont Vail Event Center. One free ticket to the Shawnee County Fair pancake feed with all registrations.

Friday, July 24th, 4-6 pm at Fleet Feet (2130 SW Wanamaker Rd)
Saturday, July 25th 6-6:40 am Southeast Corner of Stormont Vail Event Center
No dogs or bicycles.
Awards given to top 3 male and top 3 female runners overall and for each age bracket.
